Looking back on the group.  The folaige along the trail was quite heavy.

Looking at Box Canyon Creek.  I'm sure there's some good fishing in it.  No one in
our group brought fishing gear.

A few places along the trail were well kept areas.  However there
were no "bridges" to cross the four small streams we encountered.
There were about four additional areas on the trail where you had
to walk through mud.  Again, Reed had this encounter in October
so I am sure the muddy areas were not as bad.

Along the way, several trees were cut down.  Not by extraterrestrial beings, but by good
'ol chain saws.

During our hike we passed several people who were heading back from the lake and places
beyond.  We must have passed at least 10 groups of people.  There were probably 30 cars
in the tailhead parking lot.  It was full.

In October there are probably considerably less hikers.  Reed had his encounter take place
in October of 1996.  This whole trail probably looked different then.  Of course, if this was
indeed the trail he took....
