Exactly 24 hours after being knocked down by an out-of-town truck driver,
 the pergala lays in ruin.

The truck driver hit the Yessler/First Ave corner of the Pergala,
and it all came down. 

 
Some flowers are placed on a bench that is usually occupied by
those who have no better place to sleep.

This happened at 5:45 on Monday, January 15.
These photos were taken at 5:45 on Tuesday, January 16.

When walking from the ferry to work, I take this route every so often.
The benches are usually occupied.  It's amazing that no one was laying
down at the time.
