Bottom of the 8th.  Ichiro is up to bat.

Yeah, there are two out and NOBODY on base.  SO WHAT.....

Ichiro drives a HOME RUN to right field.  It's his 6th home run of the year.

 
Ichiro headed home after his home run.  Mark McLemore walked in the next at bat,
Then Boone hit his 24th Home Run of the year, his 93 and 94th RBI.  He would
go on and be the first person in the American League to reach 100 RBI's.
The Mariners won the game 11-4.  They would go on to SWEEP the
Twins in the 3-game home stand.  This was after the Mariners SWEPT
the Twins at home FOUR GAMES.  The Twins WERE the leaders in the
AL Central at the time.   Seattle had two other players hit HR's - Stan Javier,
and John Olerud.  It was an excellent game to watch.

NOTES:   Although it started to rain in the 7th inning and continued to rain all night and
all morning, people lined up outside Safeco after the game for Saturday's game against
the Twins.  Why wait 13 hours for a game?   Ichiro BobbleHead Doll giveaway!
Oh, I did not have tickets to that game, and did not wait in line.  The photo
