Taken September 21
Trip to the top of Mount Walker, then to the Bolton
and Toandos Peninsula.

This Second Group goes from Lindsay Beach on the
Bolton Peninsula to Thorndyke on the Toandos
Peninsula.

Quite a few "new forests" are around here. This one planted by Pope.

All the trees on the hillside are replants.  That's quite a bit better then strip
foresting.

Had to come all the way back past the headwaters of Quilcene Bay.  Ahead is
the Quicene Highway, close to the intersection with US101

This is where we get off, and go to the Toandos Peninsula.

This is the Dabob-Coyle Road.

It's a well-kept road, and about 12 miles long.

Hood Canal.  Across the way is Kitsap, just north of Bangor.

The paved road ends without warning.  The sign again
says "no tresspassing".
