Charpy has known John since transferring to the Subase Information Technology department.   He was the lead programmer at Subase.  In 2000 he left Subase to work in Kingston.  After a few months he left that company and joined up with an ASP developer from California.  He, Donavon and Scott started the Silverdale office of that California company.

Even though I knew John as early as 1993, it wasn't until 1996 that we got to know each other by working together on a few projects.  In 1998 John, Donavon, and Stern started Phynity.  In 1999 they asked me to join, which I did.

In 1998 we got to go to Las Vegas for a computer technology conference.  His wife, Connie along with Donavon and Teena, Chong and myself all went and had a ball.  

Since then John has been one of my closest friends.  We have ended up doing several different things together like playing basketball, football, and Frisbee.  We have went camping the last two years and plan to go again this summer along with other members of Phynity.

Since John lives about 1/2 mile away, we get together often.  I stop by his place every once in a while when I run, also visiting with his wife Connie and his three sons.  Here is their website (still in progress).
