This website is dedicated to the Dr. Jonathan Reed story.   I am building a small database of comments by various individuals within the UFO/Extraterrestrial community.

The Story, along with the book, is titled: LINK - An Extraterrestrial Odyssey, and can be accessed by their website: www.odysseylink.net.

These comments are specifically confined to the story.   The people listed here have volunteered their comments, and aware they will be publically available on this website.

Each comment can be followed by a link to an individual's website and email address.

I am in NO WAY connected with Dr. Jonathan Reed, Robert Raith, or anyone else connected to the story.

07MAR04: 

These pages have not been updated for almost two years.  There has been no change in status that I know of.   A few people have contacted me via email asking for status.  I don't know if Rutter (Reed) has been charged with fraud.  For the sake of true UFO-logy, he should have been.

18MAY02: 

Royce Myers of UFO Watchdog has been investigating a FRAUD case against Reed (aka Rutter) and Company.  Royce contends that those who have purchased the book and videos have a case.   I submitted my information because I had purchased the Book and the Video from the first UFO Conference Reed and Company attended in March of 2000.   Although the story is indeed a HOAX, the book and video (in my opinion) are still very interesting. It goes to show how far some people will go to create a story out of nothing.  

14MAY02: 

Shawn Atlanti, founder and former director of the San Diego UFO Society, AND strong Reed supporter has now withdrawn his support.  In his statement he says  "I probably should have came to this conclusion a long time ago, but either due own my proclivity to procrastinate, my fascination for conspiracy side of the UFO subject matter, or the gullible side of myself, I have waited this long to make this decision. So hopefully in the near future, Jonathan Reed/Rutter will be out of the UFO business and he can try something else, and we can bring a little more sanity to the UFO subject."
Here's the link for Shawn's statement. Shawn demanded Reed and Company provide all the evidence "once and for all".  Good job, Shawn!

10MAY02:

 Dan Iaria's website at www.aliendestingy.com now has an "under construction" image.  Is Dan going to finally admit the story is false?

06MAY02: 

Jaime Maussan, a Mexican Television personality has endorsed Reed's (or Rutter's) story for a little over a year.  Just today he was on a Latin American radio broadcast, still supporting the story.  Come on Jamie!

03MAY02: 

I have concluded that "Dr. Jonathan Reed" and his story is completely false.  Many people have done their own investigations, including myself.  What made me convinced is listening to an achieved program of Jeff Rense from May 2nd of this year (2002).  One of Jeff's several guests was Royce Myers (UFO Watchdog), as well as Kathleen Anderson of the Seattle Chapter of MUFON.   Royce and others on the program proved (to me) beyond a reasonable doubt that the story is false.  Jonathan is not a Phd.  It's not even his real name.  It's John Rutter.  "Jonathan" and Robert Raith (not his real name either) both live in Seattle, and work in West Seattle.

You can go to this link at Yahoo Radio to listen to the achieved program.  It's May 2nd.  Jeff's whole show is dedicated to the investigations.  It's almost 3 hours long, but really worth listening to if you are interested in this story at all.

I went ahead and ordered the videotapes of Dr. Reed and Robert Raith's presentation at the last International UFO Congress in March 2000.  Received them on 09DEC00.  Photos of the tape(s) are here.  My comments on the tapes will follow shortly after I have viewed them a few times.  Briefly, the presentation is quite amazing!

18NOV00:

I have received a report that Reed is now living out of the country.  He claims that 7 people have died since he has went public.  Will try to get more information.

The photos from the SECOND attempt to location Reed's Encounter area are now online.  These photos were taken on July 15th, when myself and members of the Seattle (Art Bell) Chat Club set out to find the location.

Currently, I am in the process of collecting comments and building up the the website.   I hope to have the general outline done by April 1st, 2000,  with comments appearing shortly afterwords.
